Ski Days

I know it's weird to post an entry called ski day in the middle of May, but I thought it was time to update the blog, especially since the last entry was when Steele turned 2, which was a year and a half ago.  One of the fun family activities our family engaged in this winter was teaching Britlynn and Cohen how to ski.  I also relearned how to ski, and Dave switched from snowboarding back to being a skier.  It has been a fun time and by the end of the season Britlynn was sticking to mostly blue runs.  Cohen also has a lot of fun, even though he only went a couple of times.  The video shows him skiing at Nakiska.  Hopefully next year we can also get Steele started too.  It's something we woudl like to be able to do all together as a family as the kids grow.

Happy 2nd Birthday Steele!!!

On November 29th we celebrated Steele's 2nd birthday!!! I can't believe that this little boy is two already!!! We love having Steele in our family. He is quite the little character. He was a very good baby, but now he is starting to get a little more mischievous. He thinks it is so funny to tease others and to do the opposite of what you say!!!! This is probably the start of the terrible twos, right???

Steele loves dogs, and has a few stuffed ones that he caries everywhere with him. One is so well loved that all the stuffing in the neck is no more. Steele also loves sports. He will often bring you a ball and want to play pass, or kick it back and forth. He is also quite well at making baskets in his hoop. Every day this little boy is growing and changing so much!!!! We are so glad for Steele and his special little spirit!!! He is such a good little helper and he is full of hugs!! Happy Birthday Steele!!! We love you!!!

Britlynn's 6th Birthday!!!

Wow, were does the time go? I can't believe my baby is already six!!! Britlynn's birthday is on Halloween so she always gets double the fun!!! We had some of the Poettcker clan come and visit on her birthday. Britlynn's aunt Terry, Tammy, Tenille, and uncle Stu took the kids out trick or treating, and then we had cake, and opened presents. She had a great day, but said that she wasn't going to be six until she had her birthday party with all her friends!!!! So I guess she would have to wait a week!

The next weekend we had a party with 10 of Britlynn's friends from church and school. We had a baking party, since Britlynn loves to help in the kitchen. It was so much fun, and I think all the girls enjoyed themselves!!!! Here are a few pictures of all the fun!!!!

Halloween

I know this is super late, but I figures I would still put some pictures up!!! This year for Halloween we had a ward trunk or treat, to make up for Halloween being on Sunday. The kids had a great time. We also attended a Halloween party at our community center. Cohen won a prize for best costume!!!! They had a bunch of different games for the kids to play and a pumpkin carving contest. One of the games was bowling, and instead of using the pumpkin to knock the pins down, Cohen used the wrecking ball on his crane costume!!!! Very clever!!!! We all had a great time at all the different activities, and ate to much candy!!!!!

And then there were 6!!!!

Yes, thats right we are now a family of 6!!!!! On Thursday, September 2nd, 2010, at 9:00am we were blessed to add another beautiful child to our family!!!! She weighed 8 pounds 10 ounces and was 21 inches long. We named here Zurie Rose Mulholland. We are so glad to have her and she is such a good baby!!!

Here is a short version of her birthday story. She was six days overdue, and I was booked to get induced on labour day. The only day I didn't want to have the baby was September 2nd, because that would be Britlynn's first day of grade one. These little one's have a mind of their own though, and come when they want!!!! I woke up at 4:00am, and couldn't sleep. I sat there for awhile and finally decided I might be in labour. So I woke up Dave, and off to the hospital we went. We were lucky to have my sister and mom at our house, so we just left the kids, and I left it up to them to get Britlynn to her first day of school. I felt so bad to not be there for here, but everything went fine.

We arrived at the hospital around 5:30am, and sure enough I was in labour. After a few hours of pure joy we were blessed with the safe arrival of Zurieat 9:00am!!!! She was such a beautifaul baby!!! We are so glad to have another girl, and the kids love her to bits!!!!

Dave ran home after a few hours of having Zurie and got the kids. Britlynn got lucky and only had to go to half of her first day!!! We also had Elizabeth Cranmer come and take some pictures of this special moment in our life. She got some great shots!!! The kids were so excited to final see the baby!!!! Here are a few of the shots, Enjoy!!

Beautiful baby Zurie!!!

So life is good, and we are adjusting well to having four kids!!! It's a little crazier around here, but it is all worth it!!! Zurie is such a good baby and makes my life quite easy!!! We are so thankful to have her in our family, and wouldn't want it any different!!!!

Maternity Photos

I always look at maternity photos and think how beautiful the ladies in them look. I have always wanted to do some, but I don't feel beautiful when I'm pregnant, I just feel fat. After a lot of thought, and waiting until it was almost to late, I convinced myself to get some done. I'm glad that I did get them for two reasons, 1) the memory that they have captured and 2) If this is my last child then I would not have the opportunity again. So I waited until I was 38 weeks pregnant and not very comfortable, but I put on a good face for the photographer. The lovely Elizabeth Cranmer took theses photos for me, and you can see more of her work at http://pigtailsandsnails.blogspot.com/. Here are a few of my favorites!!!!!! Enjoy!!!!
